This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced construction Senior Project Manager to support project delivery for the Property and Project Management Unit, Housing Division. The Senior Project Manager is a key role in a collaborative and innovative team focused on delivering the Government's agenda of increasing access to affordable housing for Victorians.

The role will require a dynamic, flexible and experienced candidate with experience in all facets of project management including coordinating procurement processes, providing authoritative advice, and building strong stakeholder relationships to deliver key project outcomes.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the whole development life cycle from design development, review applications of town planning, monitoring and reporting on project status and value management where necessary, contributing to risk and issue management, establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, participating in and facilitating project meetings, and preparation of a range of project documents and managing Defect Liability Periods for completed properties.

Are you:

  • Experienced in supporting the delivery of highly complex, large-scale developments with multiple consultancies and stakeholders
  • A successful project manager with a proven track record of delivering construction projects on time and on budget over the last five years
  • Able to manage and oversee the full lifecycle of projects (including feasibility, design management, town planning, tendering and contract administration) with a focus of identifying risks and establishing risk mitigation processes
  • An experienced contract manager with a comprehensive knowledge of all parties obligations throughout all phases of a project.
  • A dynamic team-player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, committed to delivering outcomes under tight timeframes
  • Passionate and driven about the Government's agenda of substantially increasing social and affordable housing in Victoria?
