Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. The Division

The Infrastructure & Place division is a trusted partner to our clients, developing and delivering smart, integrated and sustainable infrastructure and places that are valued by our customers and communities.

The opportunity

The role leads and directs engagement and development with the construction and infrastructure industry for Transport for NSW and related inter-governmental bodies. The role will influence industry attraction and growth, supporting and building thriving innovation and communication initiatives that improve project outcomes at the earliest pipeline stages of large scale infrastructure in NSW. It will also build networks with key decision makers.

About you

  • You are an executive with strong internal and external stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
  • You have led the development of partnerships with the construction and infrastructure industry, particularly with Tier 1 and 2 contractors at executive level.
  • You have experience advocating and articulating positions of interest across government, private sector and industry forums.
  • You have experience leading and guiding the management of key external events and forums.
  • You have a high level of understanding of project development and procurement processes, along with planning and delivery processes of government.
  • You have a strong track record leading outcomes of improvement and are willing to build and develop a new team.
  • You have experience building, guiding and leading a newly established team and function.
  • You come from a strong business development background within the infrastructure and construction industry, with a strong network within the infrastructure and construction industry along with relevant government entities.
