About the team

The role/s sit within the Sydney Project Delivery Team – Delivery, Strategy & Innovation (DSI), reporting to the Executive Director - DSI, which is responsible for a portfolio of projects in the delivery phase. The post holder will collaborate across multiple projects in Sydney Project Delivery and Development working closely with Project Directors and key Transport staff to set up projects for success from Development to Delivery.

The opportunity

This role leads and directs project lifecycle, strategic business and operational readiness initiatives and activities across the Branch, in collaboration with the Office of the Head of Sydney Project Delivery, Project Office Executive Directors and interfacing with Development Branch and the Client to ensure effective and efficient development to delivery and asset handover and to achieve branch strategic objectives and priorities.

About you

You are a tertiary qualified, seasoned, major projects delivery strategy and change professional looking for an opportunity to build a world class delivery function:

  • You are an influencer and collaborative with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • You have experience providing expert advice on project plans, budgets, milestones, resource allocation and potential risks to support project managers to successfully deliver projects from development through to delivery.
  • You are someone that has demonstrated experience designing procurement and project management strategies to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • You have demonstrated process change experience.
  • You have demonstrated experience and understanding of project risk management.
  • You have a strong track record leading outcomes of improvement.
  • You are experienced in managing competing and complex demands with a range of stakeholders to ensure project development and delivery strategies are fit for purpose and implemented successfully.
  • You understand the balance of addressing customer requirements whilst adhering to other regulatory, policy, government and operational conditions.
