Your role

This exceptional and key opportunity is positioned within the Residential Communities business of the Independent & Assisted Living platform.

The purpose of the Head of Clinical Quality & Safety position is to lead and drive continuous clinical quality and safety improvements and regulatory compliance that delivers high-quality service and care outcomes for aged care residents.

This position plays a vital role in leading the identification, development and implementation of best practice-based models of clinical care and service as well as leading quality and clinical system reengineering improvements across the group as identified in strategic and continuous improvement action plans.

It is a trusted advisor to the General Manager Residential Communities – Aged Care and will be tasked with leading the business in the GMs absence and represent them at meetings/working groups as required.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification within a relevant health services discipline (Clinical Nurse Specialist – grade 3 or above, nursing, allied health discipline, other health related discipline).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the aged care sector with demonstrated experience:
    • Implementing safety, quality management and clinical governance frameworks.
    • Overseeing multiple homes (10 or more) at a regional and/or national level.
  • Experienced overseeing or working across several sites (e.g. 10+).
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated application of aged care legislation, regulations, standards and ethical frameworks affecting care outcomes.
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills with a track record of delivering outcomes.
  • Knowledge of contemporary change management principles and practices, and research methodologies.
  • High computer/technology proficiency (MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel and industry specific software applications).
  • Valid Australian driver’s license and willingness to travel.
