As the Director, Energy Consumers and Competition you will provide leadership and advice on energy policy issues and create performance delivery goals. You will Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure productive working relationships that contribute to sound policy advice and implementation. You will provide leadership and direction to a small team focused on energy (electricity and gas markets) policy and strategy. The Director plays a key role in supporting the NSW Government’s approach to energy security and reliability into the future, and partners closely with agencies related to the national electricity and gas market and at the state level where regulatory responsibility remains with the NSW Government.

About you

You will be a high performing individual with proven experience in achieving outcomes in a complex, specialised and dynamic environment. You will manage operational delivery and develop proactive, innovative and effective approaches to policy advice and implementation.

You will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be able to identify and resolve issues arising during the strategic process for policy implementation in a technologically complex policy environment.

Additionally, you will demonstrate knowledge of the strategic planning processes in the context of diverse and changing stakeholder needs.
