 Dairy Farm Position/Positions for couple

Full time Position and casual work for partner (hours may vary)

Location – Quinalow, Queensland

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Dairy Farm Worker to join our team on our cow dairy operation.

Employment Specifics

The successful applicant must have a genuine interest in the dairy industry and enjoy the daily farm operations with the key tasks being stock management and feeding, tractor operation and milking. You will have to have the ability to work as a team member, but also independently at most times. The applicant should:

• Have knowledge of animal health & welfare standards
• must be skilled and self-motivated.
• demonstrate organisational skills / have the ability to work independently
• experience in the use of tractors / machinery / mechanical aptitude

Skills Qualifications and Experience

• at least two to three (3) years recent and relevant work experience;

Role Responsibility to include

• Daily milking

• Maintain milk quality and assurance

• Stock management / feeding duties / vaccinations and herd health programs

• Operation of tractor & machinery

• Maintenance & mechanical work / fencing / general farming practices

• Maintaining a clean and tidy dairy

• Adhere to and embrace on-farm protocols and safety practices, milk quality procedures and mastitis management.
