Your role:

You won’t find this job listed anywhere else. In this dynamic and challenging role, you’ll use sophisticated Electronic Warfare technology to provide vital support to Command. By detecting, identifying and locating a threat within the ship’s area, you’ll effectively stop the possibility of an enemy target or attack.

You’ll work in the operations room as part of the intelligence support and core war fighting capability onboard. Here you’ll learn how to operate, exploit and defend the electromagnetic spectrum in an extremely complex technical environment. As an Operator, you’ll form an integral part of a highly trained, internationally respected maritime force.

The wide variety of equipment that provides Electronic Intelligence is intricate. It falls into two categories: Electronic Warfare Equipment and Anti-Ship Missile Defence systems. Using these sensors and countermeasures successfully means you can assist in the defence against multiple missile attacks.

There’s really no such thing as a typical day.

Prior experience isn’t needed for this role. You’ll gain all the necessary skills and qualifications to become an Electronic Warfare Systems Operator as part of your training.

Salary:

Be paid to train and learn the skills required to become a qualified Electronic Warfare Systems Operator. Upon completion of your initial military and initial employment training, you’ll enjoy a competitive starting salary package of up to: $81,494 including service and uniform allowances, as well as a Maritime Allowance (if applicable).

In addition to your salary, you will receive generous superannuation, housing subsidies and free medical and dental care.
