Position Summary

Your main function is to ably lead the Service Team so that work on customer’s machines is completed efficiently and to a quality standard that results in high degree of customer satisfaction.

Position Qualifcations

Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Service Manager Position, preferably within the industry.
Experience in the maintenance and operation of Mobile Elevating Work Platform equipment.
A Mechanical Trade Qualification (Light Vehicle or Heavy Duty) (desirable).
A current driver’s licence

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook
Proficiency in Operating Systems
Understanding of safety requirements and practices.
The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, both internally and externally.
Self-motivated with an ability to manage time and workload autonomously and within the overall team environment.
Good problem solving and communication skills.
Proven people management skills.
Proven leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Meet customer support expectations
Actively promote and lead a safe workplace
Actively promote Genie 360 support
Manage the aftermarket and administrative team members
Facilitate weekly communication meetings with your team
Maintain appropriate working relationships with major suppliers
Employee development and succession planning
Employee training and performance management
Embrace the Terex Business System philosophy and be the advocate for the region
Liaise with company management, especially in the area of preparation of forecasts and budgets to meet overall objectives for the company
Maintain revenue and cost related targets for the state
Collaborate with interstate branches to ensure effective development of the Terex AWP business
Market parts and service capability to existing and new customers
Maintain appropriate levels of customer coverage
Manage and optimise the parts inventory holdings
Educate customers of products, service, warrant and technical support (Genie 360 Support)
Ensure customers have access to parts personnel, field service and other team members as necessary
Attend Terex AWP weekly management meetings
Perform other tasks required by the employer that are within the employee’s skills and abilities pursuant to the position
