Purpose of role

Maintain, organise, run and improve the Reception for Gelista as well as working in the Customer Service Department to service Gelista’s vast Customer Base and Assisting the Marketing and Sales Team in day to day activities. This is a varied role requiring you to be extremely organised and possess excellent attention to detail. Everyday is different at Gelista. Gelista offers a working environment driven by its underlying culture to be the best. We are looking for someone to join the Gelista Family on a permanent full time position and become a valued member of this close knit team!

Within this role there is room to grow and develop many skills sets along the way. Ultimately this position will provide a stepping stone to the opportunity for the successful applicant to move into a sales or marketing or an advanced admin role in the future.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

Office Administration including answering phone calls, attending to the needs of the Gelista clients and administering and taking responsibility for the customer needs including all deliveries and enquiries along with phone payments.

Assisting the Marketing and Sales Team with Customer Needs and includes helping the Marketing Team to organise events.

Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills as required by the company.

Contribute to the development of efficient and effective selling tools and use accordingly to secure customer retention and new business.

Represent Gelista in a professional manner at all times - on the phone, via e-mail and direct one-on-one contact during meetings. Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.

Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of company equipment.

Qualifications/Personal requirements

Marketing or Administration diploma or higher preferred.

Self-starter, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on goal achievement.

Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior large company executives yet equally approachable to small ‘Ma and Pa’ business owners.

Reliable, tolerant and determined. Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view.

Well-presented and business-like. Able to communicate effectively and persuasively via written, phone and face-to-face interactions. Competent writer of business e-mails, quotations and proposals.

Keen for new experiences, responsibilities and accountabilities. Able to get on with others and be a team-player.

Ability to use and maintain office administration systems (training will be given).

Able to understand office and human resource responsibilities.
