The Principal Media Officer Programs is responsible for the coordination of proactive media consultancy and strategy for the Department. Ensuring a collaborative, consistent approach to media platforms is provided across all infrastructure projects and departmental programs and initiatives to enable transparent, informative, clear and concise messaging to customers and stakeholders.

The Principal Media Officer Programs has a high level of political acumen and experience with media and works with project and program leads to identify and capitalise on media opportunities that positively promote those projects and the Department’s priorities.

Relevant tertiary level qualifications in communications or a related field or equivalent industry experience is desirable.

Special Conditions
This role is classified as a position of trust and will be subjected to a satisfactory criminal history record check in line with departmental policies and procedures.

Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel may be required.

ASO7 - $101,859 to $110,107 per annum
