About The Role

This is an exciting time for Ruby's and an opportunity for you to be a part of a growing, dynamic and supportive team of professionals providing holistic and innovative counselling and case management. This role is responsible for:

Supporting families in the Ruby's Reunification Program through the provision of Family Counselling
Providing outreach Family Counselling, Sexual Abuse Counselling, and Case Management to young people and their families
Providing therapeutic leadership to a team of Youth Workers

About You

You will possess tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Counselling or equivalent professional experience. You will have demonstrated work experience in providing intensive support, counselling and case management to young people and their families, where the young person is at risk of homelessness. Coupled with a strong understanding of adolescent development, you will have experience in working from a trauma informed perspective and possess experience in a range of therapeutic modalities such as, Narrative Therapy and Family Systems Therapy. Additionally, you will have a strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with community groups and agencies.

Selection Criteria Essential: Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or the equivalent
Essential: Training in the provision of counselling
Essential: Professional experience in the delivery of counselling services
Desirable: Experience working with young people and families, and knowledge of adolescent development and the impacts of trauma
Desirable: Knowledge of therapeutic approaches including narrative therapy, family and systems theory and attachment theory
