About The Role

The Project Coordinator will execute projects from receipt of Request For Quotation (RFQ) to the completion of all deliverables identified in the project charter. This includes planning, procurement, design, manufacturing, delivery, and commissioning supervision.

You will also ensure deadlines and margins are achieved while ensuring high levels of Quality and Safety are maintained at all times.

We are looking for talented people with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a strong customer service approach to join our Grundfos family in Adelaide, Australia. The Project Coordinator will report directly to the Manufacturing Engineer Manager.

Key Activities:

  • Effective communication to internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of project scope and particulars i.e. timeframes, financials, outcomes
  • Coordinate and manage the scope change and/or scope creep process
  • Coordinate risk management plans for the project from Bid meeting to project competition.
  • Coordinate estimates and support the tender process to secure a profitable project portfolio
  • Understanding and utilization of the formal escalation and review processes
  • Track Project completion progress and costs
  • Report weekly key performance indicators back to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and Account manager or delegate's
  • Establish project schedule in Microsoft Project format (time, resources, and cost) and review weekly (include the full project life cycle)
  • Update LFPV (engineering management tool) with project hours and costs
  • Support and deliver to Sales all deliverables including vendor data, drawings, manuals technical input, spares, product, quality plans, and documents. The sales account manager is to be consulted for all project relationship matters
  • Produce or coordinator Layouts and conceptual drawing development
  • Initiate and support Project Drafting (from Issue for Approval, Issue for Construction to As-Built Drawings)
  • Obtain quotes for project-specific Manufacturing & Components (RFQ and Design)
  • Monitor Project Procurement and coordinate subcontractors in consultation with Procurement and Logistics
  • Provide support during the manufacturing process and ensure
  • Ensure accuracy of BOM parts into SAP (BOM's created by designer/drafter)
  • Attend Production and Site meetings. Identify risks that could delay delivery deadlines and present solutions
  • Provide commissioning support and supervision of the Project (if required on customer site)
  • Compilation of documents such as Quality Plans, SAT, FAT, ITP & MDR, etc (these can be in a customer-specific format)
  • Comply with Grundfos Engineering Standards and support the development of new sector/industry standards for Grundfos products and solutions
  • Coordinate Special projects such as prototyping, Engineering to value, cost reduction, or other projects as required
  • Conduct lesson learned and project review at each milestone of the bid/project lifecycle with all stakeholders (focus on the good and improvement opportunities)
  • Achieve targets and KPI's in the annual strategic plan including delivery on time and project costs less than planned costs
  • Embrace the zero-defect / continuous improvement philosophy through all stages of the engineering design process by encouraging individual accountability for the quality of workmanship and defect elimination
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested, commensurate with the position

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Project Management, Engineering or Business Administration or other relevant field is mandatory
  • Preferably at least 1-2 years relevant work experience. Fresh graduates who are passionate to learn Project Management process are highly encouraged to apply
  • Completed or working towards completion of a Project Management accreditation is preferred
  • Relevant work experience in a project role preferably gained within automation, manufacturing, or industrial environment is an advantage
  • Solid Knowledge of project management methodologies is mandatory
  • Hold and retain a current driver's license is an advantage
