Full Job Description
We are seeking a Cost Controller to join our growing team. Your technical abilities will be supported by a relevant qualification and you will have exceptional inter-personal communication skills with a high degree of professionalism.

You will be responsible for:
Assisting in work breakdown structure (WBS) and cost estimate development
Constructing project schedules
Creating and managing tasks (work packages) in the GHD accounting system (BST10)
Ensuring data integrity between the project scheduling and costing databases
Review and analysis of actual costs to ensure costs are booked correctly
Reviewing critical path and float against baseline and assisting with schedule variance analysis and opportunities to meet dates.
Regular project cost and schedule performance reports (usually in Power BI Dashboard tool)
Assist in production of weekly and/or monthly reports
Preparing invoices including supporting documentation
Assist in Project forecasting

What you will bring to the team:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar project controls role in the engineering consulting or construction industry
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, proficient in the use of scheduling tools (including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project)
Project Earned Value Measurement (EVM) experience and understanding
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to tailor information and data for clear presentation to various stakeholders
Strong analytical skills - to ensure accuracy of reporting/invoicing, perform cost variance analysis and data traces
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Tertiary qualifications (eg. IT, Engineering and/or Business/Accounting) - a double degree (Engineering/Business) would be looked on very favourably
