About the company

Our client is a major supplier of Rolling Stock, Signalling and associated Services for the rail industry throughout Australia.

About The Role

Our client is seeking three Maintenance Technicians, to work with them on an ongoing basis.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on rollingstock vehicles and other subsystems
  • Comply with the company's Quality, Health, and Safety procedures at all times
  • Submit reports on activities, identified problems, and corrective measures taken - both on a daily and weekly basis
  • Install both hardware and software systems upgrades
  • Assist in any additional activities with cross-functional teams as necessary

Required Experience
  • Hold a valid, Australian recognised Electrical licence and/or Electrical trade qualification
  • Experience working as an electrician in a maintenance field
  • Excellent abilities in reading and understanding electrical schematics
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and experience
  • Ability to work in a large team environment


Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and fault find on mechanical issues
  • Follow all established safety procedures, good housekeeping practices and utilise safety equipment as required
  • Report daily and weekly on activities, including problems found and measures taken
  • Assist experienced staff in disciplines other than own speciality
  • Participate in any cross functional activities as necessary

Required Experienced
  • Cert III in Mechanical trade or Machinist Licence
  • Previous experience working as a mechanic in a maintenance environment
  • Basic understanding of railway systems and interfaces is highly desired
  • Good organisation skills and ability to read and follow schematics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well on an international team environment
