Position Descriptor:
Local Relieving Teachers are based within a cluster or district of schools travelling up to 45 kms from their base school to cover short term vacancies / relief teacher bookings. Local Relieving Teachers receive a 5% loading on their salary.
Based at Kadina Memorial School, this position entails working in any of the schools in Kadina and surrounds including both primary and secondary (R-12), to cover short term teacher absences. The position requires the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships and interact professionally with a wide range of people in various locations.
Temporary Relieving Teachers can expect to work with a range of age groups and curriculum areas with only short notice. It is expected that Relieving Teachers are able to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Relieving Teachers may encounter some students who exhibit challenging behaviours.
Please note that part time and flexible arrangements will be considered.
