Permanent part time position (10 hours a week to be worked Tuesday and Thursday, plus up to two-weekends per month)

The Uniting Church in South Australia (UCSA) comprises of more than 250 congregations conducting extensive and diverse mission activities across the state.

The iconic Nunyara Conference Centre, located in Belair, aims to provide exceptional Christian hospitality to church and school groups, community organisations and function guests.

An opportunity exists for a permanent, part-time Customer Service Officer to provide customer focused and operational services.

The Customer Service Officer is an integral part of the office and customer service team and has an emphasis on providing anticipatory customer service to assist Uniting Venues SA to provide exceptional Christian hospitality.

Reporting to the Manager, Nunyara Conference Centre; the Customer Service Officer’s key tasks are:

Establish and maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for guests
Resolve, or escalate, any difficulties that the group leaders may experience
Respond to guest requests and provide after-hours emergency contact when rostered for duty (including when rostered on a weekend).

The successful applicant will be required to have experience in a similar position. In addition, the successful applicant will have:

Ability to take direction and work unsupervised
Ability and willingness to be flexible and solution focussed
A good level of knowledge of audio / visual hardware
Able to work productively and positively in a team environment.

Experience within the camping and conference centre industry will be highly regarded. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are a must in this role, as is your demonstrated commitment to a mainstream Christian denomination.
