The Opportunity:

It's a great story - a business started in a kitchen 10 years ago with a vanilla rice pudding has now expanded into a huge niche dessert producer with a state-of-the-art facility in Ingleburn. Wicked Sister has been a story of consistent growth and currently in their 6th year at Ingleburn and rapidly approaching capacity.

The need is for a forward-thinking leader to help the business face the challenges of growth, reaching capacity, re-working preventative maintenance plans, taking on new machines, upskilling the team. As the business looks to more than double its size in the next 5 years, your role will become more demanding and evolve to handle bigger issues which creates huge opportunity.

Culturally, they look after people - train them, invest in them and in this new phase of growth will be looking to develop their leaders to take the business to the next level. Treat them as humans.

You'll be challenged to add value and be part of a leadership team looking at doubling the output of a niche brand and product range.

Goals for the Role:

  • Improvement of the maintenance plans with periodic review of consistent issues and problems.
  • Review of cleaning systems and programmes.
  • Looking for more efficient ways of managing maintenance schedules and shutdowns.
  • Responsible for training of team for new machines or upgrades.
  • Expansion of maintenance plan to support growth in output or change in line layout.

What we need from You:

  • Maintenance background in food manufacturing (fitter, turner, engineer) with recent experience in a supervising / leadership capacity.
  • Evidence of finding innovative ways to troubleshoot, solve problems and pre-empt potential faults.
  • Ability to lead from the front but also get the most out of your team.
  • Hunger to face new challenges and be part of a growth adventure.
