Ambulance Victoria - Melbourne, VIC

Source: uWorkin

  • Newly created role
  • End to end production
  • Join a small, award-winning team

As Victoria's only state-wide health service, Ambulance Victoria (AV) occupies a unique role in the public health system. Last year, almost one million people experiencing a health emergency called on us for help. We continue to evolve our service to meet the growing and increasingly complex needs of Victorians, to connect every patient to the right pathway of care – whether hospital emergency or alternative pathways. The Communications & Stakeholder Relations division has recently restructured to better support AV's transformation to a modern, digitally connected ambulance service.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager Content Production, this role contributes to the development and implementation of campaigns and content across established social media channels, leveraging our trusted voice to share the stories of our patients, people, and partners. As a social media practitioner in a fast-paced media environment, the appointee will work alongside the Specialist Content and Social Media to strengthen and protect Ambulance Victoria's brand and reputation, and influence and enhance community health outcomes. Working in a story-rich environment, this role will contribute to content planning, enjoy a high degree of autonomy in content production, and be responsible for monitoring and reporting on feedback, sentiment and the performance of our social media content and campaigns.

About you

Tertiary qualified, with a relevant depth of knowledge and experience in social media, you embrace the opportunity to engage directly with stakeholders and the public via social media channels. You are a passionate, creative and enthusiastic storyteller whose professional toolkit includes multi-media production skills, together with a high attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Resourceful, curious and driven, you possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, have a keen interest in public affairs, and demonstrate a robust intellect and the ability to connect your role and responsibilities to events and issues in the external operating environment. You enjoy working collaboratively and supportively with talented colleagues and are ambitious to contribute to team and organisational goals. You are known to respectfully engage and communicate with senior stakeholders with confidence and professionalism.
