The Role

As an Activity Leader, you will be responsible for facilitating engaging social, recreational and/or skill building activities for children, young people and adults living with a disability, with a focus on fun and creatively supporting inclusion and independence. You will direct and supervise recreation staff and volunteers to deliver the activity and maintain appropriate consumer activity records.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have the following:

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a similar role or the disability sector
  • Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or above)
  • Current NSW drivers licence (P2 or above)
  • Satisfactory background checks including NDIS Workers Check and Working With Children Check for paid purposes ( or willingness to obtain one)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Disability, Education, or similar sector (desirable but not essesntial)
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Sound knowledge and use of various systems, including rostering and reporting systems
