E&I Engineer - Technologist

A permanent opportunity for an E&I Engineering Technologist with exposure to international projects to join a global organization that has revolutionized a notoriously traditional industry.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for:

  • Work within a multi-disciplined engineering team in the development of new docking and mooring designs.
  • Coordinate and prepare 2D electrical drawings, 2D and 3D panel layouts.
  • Coordinate and prepare general electrical arrangements, schematics, interconnection diagrams, As-Built documentation, and BOMs to recognized industry and corporate standards, including ISO9001.
  • Assist in preparation of standard project documentation such as cable schedules and testing procedures.
  • Support the development of impact assessment analyses, design documentation, and report as required.
  • Assist with factory assembly, installation, and testing of electrical docking and mooring equipment, using hand and power tools, emphasizing safety and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and repair system defects.

To be considered for the position, you must have:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD modeling, Solidworks, and MS Office tools.
  • A minimum of 3 Years of experience in a marine docking and mooring engineering design environment.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, calculation formulas, manufacturing methods, and processes.
  • Experience in testing and maintenance in a production environment.
  • Experience working within a quality system.
  • Have experience in relevant electrical component specification and selection.
  • Understand basic electrical load calculation formulas and component specification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system.
  • Familiar with applicable industry standards.
  • Have experience in final acceptance testing, troubleshooting, and modifications.
  • Experience working on multi-projects within a fast-paced environment
  • Exposed to international projects within the marine industry.
  • Full working rights in Australia
