Position Description
A local business is seeking a 2nd or 3rd year Commercial Cookery apprentice to complete their apprenticeship and become a qualified chef.
This employer is situated in a lovely rural setting on 2 acres in Gleneagle about 40 minutes south-west of Brisbane. The grounds are supported by a spectacular view of farmlands framed by distant mountain ranges and perfect sunsets.
On the grounds are a Function Centre, Wedding Chapel and a stylish Restaurant and Bar. The dining menu specializes in elegant dining. This position is part time approximately 15 - 20 hours a week to start, with the potential of full time as the business grows.
About you:
* Flexibility with hours - Currently Lunch and Dinner Thurs & Friday, Saturday - Dinner & Sunday - Breakfast.
* Car & license
* Experience as commercial cookery apprentice
* Interested in a career as a chef
* Good communication skills
* Team player
* Well presented
* Ability to assist in all parts of the kitchen from preparation, serving to cooking and cleaning.
