  • Offering $32 - $45 per hr based on experience plus truck, fuel, uniform and overtime as required
  • Candidate must live in the Brisbane Western Suburbs or Ipswich region


Aotea Electrical a rapidly expanding Brisbane electrical contracting company providing a full range of electrical and communication installations, maintenance and repairs for the commercial and industrial sectors and leading Aquatic control systems.

We have serviced South East Queensland for the past 15 years and have several long-standing commercial, industrial and government clients.


We are currently seeking an experienced versatile Electrician to join our team. Ideally, this person thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example and is committed to providing high-quality service to our customers.

This position would suit someone who enjoys variety while taking pride in their work and strives to achieve the best results while maintaining great customer service.

You will be a self-starter with great attention to detail and the ability to think on your feet and problem solve. You must have a proven track record of completing projects on time to a high standard.

A typical day in this role would start from your home checking the companies service management system (ServiceM8) for your allocated jobs for the day. Then you would drive your company vehicle to each job, logging the works completed electronically.


  • Light industrial work
  • Commercial Maintenance
  • Insurance work
  • Aquatic plant maintenance
  • AC installation 


  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in accordance with local laws and codes
  • Run tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation
  • Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards
  • Communicate with clients to discuss scheduling and provide ongoing updates through to completion
  • Manage payments and associated record keeping processes
  • Other duties as requested


The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:

  • An Australian Permanent resident
  • Lives in the Brisbane Western Suburbs or Ipswich region
  • Queensland Electrical Licence
  • ARC LIC a Plus
  • CPR qualifications
  • White Card
  • Current Open Drivers Licence
  • Supply own tools
  • You will be technologically savvy and have a good understanding of Wiring Rules and the Qld Electrical Safety Act 2000
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Have good communication skills and a strong work ethic
  • Have a personal commitment to safety and be organised and punctual.


This position offers wages based on experience, a supportive and stable working environment within a small growing team, and the potential for a gratifying long-term career.

There will be overtime as required as well as a truck, fuel, and uniform provided.
