The opportunity where you will make an impact:

Optimum Nutrition Brand Manager has direct responsibility for Optimum Nutrition and their interrelationship with the Oceania sports nutrition consumer. This role is a 6 - 9 month maternity leave cover and has the broad responsibility for strategic planning, development and execution of all ON brand communications including creative, media and the day to day management of associated agencies, NPD management & executional launch, consumer activations and coordination of all marketing programs for Optimum Nutrition.

  • Responsibility to drive all brand activities (communication, activations) including the day to day management of Creative, Media and Promotional agencies to ensure the highest standard of communication and timely execution across multiple platforms in line with 1 yr. brand plan and HQ guidelines.
  • Lead the Assistant Brand Manager and Marketing Coordinator to ensure all brand support, field activity, social medial and activations are aligned with the Marketing plan.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Content Creator and Graphic Designer and wider business to ensure all brand support, field activity and activations are aligned with major Marketing initiatives as per the Marketing Plan.
  • Collaborate and work alongside BSN Brand Manager to identify shared learning's and opportunities for growth
  • Lead the development of the 1 yr. Tactical Brand Plan and support Oceania Marketing Manager in setting the longer term strategic horizon for Optimum Nutrition.
  • Management of both globally led NPD initiatives, as a key local resource and regionally led launches from ideation and concept testing through to commercialisation and launch.
  • Ensure a detailed and comprehensive consolidated marketing activity plan is formally communicated to Sales monthly, at least a month in advance, via the Marketing Activity Calendar.
  • Day to day management of the marketing budget, ensuring campaigns and projects have sufficient resources to be executed and do not exceed set budget and allowing senior management to have clear understanding of exact spend status v's plan at any point in the year.
  • Participate in Global Brand WIP's and management of local NPD execution providing clear and regular updates with internal stakeholders including sales, finance and R&D
  • Research and analyse competitor pricing, promotion, NPD and tactics in the market to identify the most suitable strategies for the company's product and branding.
  • Assist in the management of Consumer Insight projects where required.
  • In conjunction with the Sales team, attend regular customer meetings and field visits in order to seek out, plan and coordinate local area marketing opportunities to promote brand recognition.
  • Ensure the Sales Team has the necessary POS for outstanding field execution at all times.
  • Manage the GWP program end-to-end to ensure a diverse supply of appealing and cost effective GWP is available for key all brands at all times through the year.
  • Ensure a constant supply of Sachet Samples across all key product groups to support key events and customers throughout the year.
  • Lead the the Marketing Coordinator in planning and managing the sponsored teams and athletes and events to ensure major events and sponsored assets are aligned with and major brand activities and that all monthly product and the management of cash allocations, athlete uniforms, athlete duties in events, sampling & demonstrations are on plan.
  • Assistance in management and execution of large scale Fitness shows where our brands have a presence.
  • Work with the Digital Content Creator and Graphic Designer to ensure all Social and Digital communications are meeting agreed KPI's and aligned with major Marketing Activities.

What you will bring to GPN:

  • Degree level qualifications in marketing and/or similar discipline
  • FMCG or similar experience (Majors or multi-nationals)
  • 3+ years' experience in brand management, preferably in the FMCG category
  • NPD experience (Stage & Gate)
  • Experience managing external agencies
  • Experience in customer/consumer insights
  • Experience in analysing trade data (eg. Aztec)
  • Experience managing large spend budgets
  • A passion for health, fitness and sport
  • Analytical acumen and ability to work with insights/data
  • Ability to manage A&P budget
  • A passion for brand marketing
  • Ability to work autonomously but also be a strong team player with initiative
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and priorities
  • Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Solid commercial acumen and understanding
  • Passion and entrepreneurial spirit to drive and implement brand strategies
  • Strong project management skills notably working to budgets and deadlines
  • A natural communicator with good reporting and presentation skills
  • An influential and collaborative interpersonal style which will see you build effective cross-functional stakeholder relationships
