The Organisation

A well-established, well-supported, and highly treasured National NFP, that covers the board for community services from homelessness, youth services, employment, all the way through to family intervention and counselling. They maintain a core focus on providing positive outcomes to displaced children through their permanency program by navigating the intricate Child Protection System. With deep roots in the community, they service the Penrith and Greater Western Sydney region, and are seeking a capable Team Leader for their OHCC program.

The Role
The role will see you providing professional oversight and support to a team of committed Case Managers to ensure that foster carers are able to meet the demanding requirements of children in need within the permanency program. Take responsibility for the implementation of case planning and management which will benefit the health, psychological and emotional wellbeing of children, and allow them to maintain relationships with their biological families. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will also manage external stakeholder relationships and referral networks with relevant government departments.

About you
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications within Social Work or a related discipline
  • Strong working knowledge within the child protection space and needs of children within OHCC
  • Understanding of the effects of trauma on early development
  • Ability to foster positive lifestyle outcomes and promote resilience and confidence within vulnerable children through various means such as structured frameworks and intervention models
  • Well demonstrated reporting and data collection management within a professional context
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence and required clearances (Rights to work, WWCC & Police check)
