One of Australia's most highly regarded federal government departments in Victoria is looking to engage an experienced API Tester to deliver quality testing activities and deliverables undertaken by the department. The successful candidates will be offered an 18 month contract partnered with long term extension options

The successful API Tester will be responsible for, but not limited to;

  • Prepare test plans, test cases, test scripts and text execution including documenting test results and other documentation
  • Identify, Design and develop automated tests and frameworks for API and Cloud applications using in-house Automation tools
  • Understand testing needs and ensure automated test scripts are created, maintained and executed to meet software release deliverables and project testing requirements
  • Undertake technical analysis of change to understand, prepare and execute manual testing for System Testing, SIT and UAT test phases
The successful API Tester must have the following:
  • Demonstrated experience in use of PowerShell, JavaScript or Similar
  • Demonstrated testing experience (5+ years) and ability to perform Functional & Integration testing within Cloud hosted Applications, APIs, Mobile Apps and Portal Systems.
  • Demonstrated strong experience in API testing (RESTful) using API testing tool such as Postman, SOAPUI
