About the team

The Operations, Customer and Place-making team ensures Sydney Metro is equipped to deliver integrated, reliable, customer focused and efficient services. We are also managing large scale place-making projects, designing and developing thriving precincts where community members can gather, connect, shop, work and play. We are proud of what we have achieved so far and excited for the full vision of Sydney Metro to come to life.

The Opportunity

Right now, we have an opportunity for a Manager, Precinct and Place to join the Place making and Property team. You will be shaping and influencing place making and urban planning outcomes throughout all the phases of metro project design, development, delivery and operations.

  • Develop, influence and implement place making and activation approaches, coordinating with other agencies where relevant, to ensure metro precincts and places are vibrant and attractive places for local communities
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with local councils, government and commercial partners to enable projects appropriately respond to community, place and stakeholder needs
  • Contribute to a range of planning, design and development processes (including station, interchange and precinct development plans) to ensure project objectives, place making outcomes, and commercial returns are appropriately balanced and achieved.

About you

You are a creative individual who is passionate about place making and the urban environment. Using your highly developed communication and technical skills you are able to influence and collaborate with multiple internal/external stakeholders and manage your own work in a complex multi-project environment.

In addition you are degree level qualification from a recognised tertiary institution in a related technical field (e.g. urban planning, urban design, social science, property development) or a related business management or commercial field, and ability to obtain membership of a relevant professional body.
