About the opportunity

Our Individual Life Operations team is structured based on the functions - New Business, Existing Business and Policy Alterations, and these teams support our Retail and Direct lines of business for TAL and Asteron.

The New Business team supports our Retail advised products, working closely with the advisers and our distribution team.

This is a diverse service consultant role responsible for administering our products across several platforms while providing outstanding customer service.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Allocated work completed within agreed Service standards with high quality output

  • All correspondence to be accurate, using checklists, standard letters and professional wording.

  • Assist other Service teams in other areas (including call centre) to help achieve departmental goals during peak periods.

  • Proactively use customer feedback and pass onto management any skill, knowledge or learning opportunities.

  • Input into the development of procedure

  • Looks for ways to improve own effectiveness and productivity

  • Resolves customer problems and complaints, escalating where required

  • Ability to demonstrate organisation skills & communicate effectively to achieve team objectives and goals

  • Displaying a strong customer service attitude in everyday responsibilities

  • Understanding the importance of building positive working relationships

  • Resolves customer problems and complaints, escalating where required

  • Demonstrating knowledge of own role, business principles, policies, practices and trends

  • Good attention to detail and a high focus on delivering quality output

  • Sound knowledge of MS Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel & Outlook)
