Health, Safety & Environment Advisor 6-month contract


We are currently seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Advisor to join the HR & Safety team based in our Melbourne Head Office.

About You:


A tertiary qualified professional, you will have experience supporting a national multi-site organisation. You will be able to work with diverse stakeholders and balance conflicting priorities, managing your time between strategic objectives and the ongoing demands of the operation. To be successful within this position, you will have a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and be able to connect policies and procedures to workplace behaviour.

Previous experience with internal auditing programs, ICAM (or equivalent) incident management training and/or a Cert IV in TAE would be highly regarded.


About the role:


Reporting directly to the General Manager, Health Safety Environment & Quality, the core deliverables of this role will be to:

  • Develop solutions to complex and challenging health, safety and environment issues in partnership with relevant work groups.
  • Provide information, advice, and support to internal and external stakeholders to keep our people safe, maintain strict compliance and protect our environment.
  • Plan and deliver data driven risk reduction initiatives to assist in reducing injuries and incidents.
  • Support the development of promotions, training material, publications and other resource materials for internal and external partners to foster understanding of individual responsibilities for HSE.
  • Assist key stakeholders with drafting, reviewing, and implementing hazard identification, site risk registers, operational risk assessments, and SWMS.
  • Lead and/or support investigations, root causes analysis, and continuous improvement following HSE related incidents or hazards.


The successful candidate will be required to undergo a full National criminal history check.
