Current opportunity

In this role you’ll prepare, coordinate and evaluate events across the Melbourne firm, working closely with Partners internally and events partners externally to facilitate successful events throughout the year. You’ll provide recommendations for suitable events and maintain a calendar of events for the firm. You’ll also identify and manage sponsorships at the firm level in accordance with our strategy and oversee divisional and sector level sponsorships.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Event preparation, coordination and evaluation
Organisation and communication of events calendar
Coordination of client entertainment
Identification and management of sponsorships
Content marketing
Client relations and business development
Internal communication
Collaborate with the national events team
CRM/Marketing automation

What we’re looking for

A friendly, professional and experienced events /sponsorship coordinator with a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role. You’ll enjoy being part of a collaborative and interactive team but also have the motivation to take ownership of your role and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. A key part of your role is the ability to build rapport with your internal clients and external providers to deliver effective and appropriate events.

Required skills include:
2 years’ experience in a similar role (experience in a professional services environment would be well regarded)
Strong organisational abilities and ability to adhere to deadlines
Willingness to work outside standard hours as required
Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated understanding of event process and sponsorships - in particular in online/virtual environments and platforms
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to develop rapport at all levels and a team player
A relevant tertiary qualification would be well regarded
Demonstrated EMS/CRM capabilities
Entry level Adobe Creative Suite skills is desirable
