Summary

The role will be responsible for managing, leading and the execution of the HR, Risk and Compliance stream of the Transition Programme. It will include leading the justification and effective implementation of projects, process improvements, driving change through to delivery for the HR, Risk and Compliance team.

Responsibilities

The role will be responsible for developing the HR, Risk and Compliance Stream transition plan and thereafter executing a series of projects incorporating change, quality, security and governance. The role requires you to translate business needs into a clear and measurable scope of work which is aligned to the governance framework objectives. The role also requires you to influence, collaborate and build consensus with stakeholders to arrive at decisions.

You will need to manage changes to scope to ensure these are well assessed and understood by the business; including identifying the implications for quality, project timeline, quality and risk.

The main responsibilities include:
  • Partner with the Business Leaders to identify, determine, challenge and develop improvement opportunities
  • Lead project justification activity by framing its strategic link, quantifying the costs and benefits, the return on investment and developing and presenting a clear, robust proposal for consideration
  • Working closely with Sourcing and Legal to determine appropriate applications for implementation via experienced implementation partners
  • Lead the delivery of all HR, Risk and Compliance Stream projects, whilst working within the project management governance framework to ensure effective rigour and efficient execution
  • Continuously track the delivery, costs, risks and issues pertaining to the projects, providing updates in the required format and identifying gaps / solutions to the approved plan
  • Assist with the development and incorporation of process control systems within the organisation
  • Manage program/ project budgets.
  • Vendor Management including (but not limited to):
    • Evaluate potential suppliers using developed and agreed criteria to support alignment and understanding of the expectations and requirements of engagement
    • Monitor and report on the performance of selected vendors to ensure delivery in line with contractual obligations and performance metrics
    • Manage outward communication to vendors to facilitate understanding and awareness of organisational strategic direction, changes and challenges
    • Manage the interaction between vendors and internal program delivery leaders to provide adequate visibility of interdependent initiatives and programs
The Right Candidate:

To be successful in this position, the incumbent would be expected to have or demonstrate the following:
  • Previous experience with HRIS Implementation
  • At least 10 years in a consulting / project management capacity in a banking or finance environment
  • Broad knowledge of and experience in methodologies support programmes and project management and organisation change management disciplines
  • Proven experience in working with waterfall and agile projects
  • Improvement mind-set, with proven ability to influence people and affect change at all levels of the organisation
  • Advanced capabilities with appropriate software / tools (e.g. PowerPoint; Visio; MS Project; Excel; Jira)
  • Recognised senior qualification in project management and/or process improvement strongly preferred; PMP, Prince2 certification, Agile DSDM (or other).
