About the Role

Reporting to our Senior Manager - Digital Marketing, the UX Lead is responsible for establishing and leading CPA Australia’s UX practice and continuous improvement program through a collaborative, user-centred design process.

Working collaboratively with the Digital Product Owner and key teams round the business, you will ensure a design led digital experience. This hands-on role will support operational and project digital deliveries that deliver to the needs of members and customers.

Drawing on operational and strategic understanding of the market, customer and business needs, you will work with the Agile team to plan, design and implement engaging digital product experiences that are easy to use across all devices.

Your Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Establish a hands-on, in-house UX and design function to support digital operations and project deliveries, focusing on customer and business high value deliverables
Own and manage the website design system and platforms to ensure experience consistency
Use UX best practice, review and quality assurance processes to ensure the correct implementation of designs and user requirements
Run required discovery workshops, conduct user testing and establish feedback cycles that can be implemented into the design
Communicate and test design ideas through wireframes, screen flows, and lo/high-fidelity interactive prototypes
Design strategies to overcome potential UX challenges to mitigate impacts to delivery success and user outcomes.

About You

As a passionate UX professional, you are the customer champion, focused on finding the right solution to solve user problems. You have a positive, collaborative approach and strong stakeholder engagement skills. You enjoy being part of an environment where you manage a process from end to end.

Comfortable with change and complexity, you embrace working environments undergoing digital and business transformation. You understand ambiguity and draw on your experience in agile delivery methodologies to successfully deliver.

You are creative, pride yourself on your analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills, and your ability to work tight deadlines while managing competing issues.

Your previous experience will include

Minimum 5-7 years UX / design / experience for web and mobile
Highly skilled in UX research, design and execution methodologies, such as user testing, user interviews, surveys, focus groups and data analysis
Demonstration of a strong understanding of working successfully within organisations undergoing digital and transformational change
Proven ability to deliver customer-centric iterative product solutions, translating strategy into execution; understanding the big picture and appreciating the importance of the detail
Experience in delivering website redesigns and builds, with a solid understanding of responsive UI and visual design
Excellent problem-solving ability, analytical aptitude and capability to manage competing issues, working to tight deadlines
In-depth and applied knowledge of Agile (and Waterfall) frameworks and best practice. Experience with various Agile tools and systems.
