Reporting to an entrepreneurial and highly influential Finance Manager, this Financial Accountant is a highly visible and crucial business partnering role. This is a critical role to assist in driving the business through its aggressive hyper-growth global expansion phase through the building of strong foundations supported by a solid financial control processes and commercial framework.

As the Financial Accountant, you will support the Finance Managers remit in ultimate accountability for end to end financial and statutory management across the group. This will involve driving automation and creating efficiencies in finance processes.

This role not only requires an excellent technical and analytical mind but also someone that can think outside of the box and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.


Reporting to a high performing Finance Manager and working closely with the leadership team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the delivery of accurate and timely month end reporting processing including analysis, reconciliations, and reporting for designated entities within the Group;
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation or review of balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Maintain timely and accurate direct and indirect tax and statutory compliance for designated entities within the Group;
  • Process intercompany transactions and maintain intercompany reconciliations and adjustment for designated entities in line with company policies and procedures and transfer pricing arrangements;
  • Assist in the consolidation of financial results;
  • Assist in ensuring a controlled, efficient and timely production of half year and full year statutory financial reports complying with statutory reporting and ASX reporting obligations;
  • Support external audit and review process and global financial compliance submissions for designated entities including preparation of notes to financial statements and preparing information required by the auditors;
  • Support financial risk management including hedging programs and working capital management for designated entities in the Group;
  • Assist in the interpretation of accounting standard requirements, its application to the business and in the implementation of business systems changes as appropriate;
  • Provide financial advice and support to key business leaders to effectively and efficiently manage business operations and performance. 


You may be a Big 4/Mid-Tier first mover looking for your first step into a broad commercial financial accounting position or have at least 4-5 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant position. You are CA/CPA qualified, possess month end experience and feel comfortable managing P&Ls. You have a solid understanding of current accounting standards and tax reporting obligations. You have a deep desire to progress your career within a high growth ASX listed organisation. In addition, you will have:

  • Exposure to a mid-tier or large ERP system.
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills. 
  • Ability to understand the financial accounting process and how data flows in the system.
  • Highly developed written & verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a wide range of key stakeholders.
  • A positive attitude with the hunger to achieve great results.
  • Resilience and the ability to bounce back under pressure.
  • A team focus with the ability to handle tasks in a timely manner with the quality expected in a large business environment.
