Lead a $28bil Capital Raise

As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) reports to the CEO and COO and assumes a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO has primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial activities of our rapidly growing unlisted infrastructure company with international presence. This will include direct responsibility for compliant and best in class accounting, financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance and private and institutional financing.
The CFO will navigate between strategy and detail, bring passion to the role, think and add value across the business.

You will be required to perform the following tasks & responsibilities:
• Develop finance organisational strategies by ensuring the production of financial and accounting accurate information providing analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organisational objective across the Group.
• Monitor and evaluate company financial performance by reporting financial status and developing forecasts and business modelling; reporting results; analysing variances and interpreting data and metrics, and initiate corrective actions and minimize the impact of variances.
• Develop financial plans by forecasting capital, facilities, identifying monetary resources; developing action plans.
• Lead and manage finance team across the Group in Australia, Singapore and Indonesia to ensure Accuracy and Compliance of the company’s Financials statements as well as ensuring control of all financial risks.
• Manage all financial operations within the group
- Manage Accounts payables & receivables, BAS, Tax ensuring all reconciliations are correct, including trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet adjustments
- Manage financial operations with banks and other financial entities
- Manage the provision of a quality and accurate payroll service
- Maintains efficient control of all Fixed assets and inventory
- Manage outsourced functions
• Manage & own the Budget:
- Leading the preparation process of the annual budget of the company, which is derived from the company’s business plan
- Budget supervision – adjusting the company’s accounting system to the company’s budget, and performing periodic tracking of Actuals vs. Budget
- Management reports - preparing periodic reports and presentations to the management and the board of directors. These reports include: Balance sheet, P&L, cash flow and any other required report.
- Analysing budget implications on the company
- Participate in decision-making and its implementation in the company budget and forecasts.
• Management of financial exposures:
- Currency exposure analysis.
- Cash flow exposure.
- Tax exposure
- Valuation of Shares and Options
- Management, implementation and supervision of the investment policy.
- Transfer pricing exposure
• Investor relations (IR), during, pre & post Capital Raising:
- Responding to investors (Q&A)
- Reports preparations
- Reporting to shareholders
- Meeting with investors
- Gathering of Investor and shareholders legal documentation
- Presenting to the financial community
• Contribute to Capital Raising & Corporate Development, with data-room management, Information Memorandum preparation, ownership of financial model, Q&A, support for roadshow with prospective investors for capital raising rounds or Pre-IPO/IPO and other exit events such as Trade Sales.
• Lead financial activity of non-dilutive funding. Specifically, the company and its affiliates can be eligible to various grants for export and for R&D.
• Accountable for ASIC Compliance: Responsible for the yearly financial audit as well as for the maintenance of Share and Option registers.
• Consolidate and supervise the company's policies, procedures & processes- initiation and implementation of internal procedures that will promote company culture and vision whilst foster efficiencies.
• Participate in the organisational continuous improvement cycle, inherent to a start-up, and continuously analyse organization operations to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement and work with Executive team for the realisation of these improvements.
• Actively contribute to the Commercial function within the organisation with contract reviews, management of contractual obligations, contract renewals, management of all insurances including Management liabilities insurances, using and improving the Contract Management System and the company’s Commercial Policy.
• Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.

Desired qualification & skills:
• Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance essential, MBA is desirable
• CPA/CA
• Previous CFO experience
• Investment bank experience in large scale infrastructure finance.
• 10+ years in progressively more senior financial leadership roles, with some experience in a infrastructure or energy companies advantageous
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation
• Problem solving and analytical skills and desire to get hands-on
• An enthusiastic team player and strong interpersonal skills
• High level of presentation with strong written, oral and communication skills
• Clear examples of adding value throughout career in large businesses and small
• Track record of originating and closing equity deals
• Track record of bringing operational excellence by installing just the right amount of process, reporting and structure
