Support Engineer
Your New Company
Our client is a North American company behind an Open-Source tool used in data and analytics. They’re looking for a Support Engineer to join a team serving as first Point-of-Contact for clients across APAC. You’ll need a strong tech support background and the ability to hit the ground running; this is a remote role with very little supervision so high levels of independence are a must.
Your New Role
- Support customers and business partners over various communications media
- Create a positive experience for your business partners
- Resolve complex technical issues through troubleshooting, gathering information and replicating problems
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to foster continued development and collaboration
- Get in as one of the first employees in Australia – plenty of opportunity for leadership/growth with expansion.
- 5+ years’ tech support experience (L2-L4)
- Complex troubleshooting expertise including debugging
- The ability to develop documentation
- Excellent communication skills across tickets, email, chat, calls and video-calls
- An independent and proactive mentality
- Elastic, Splunk
- Experience in Escalations or Systems Engineering
- Background in open-source tech
- Kubernetes/DevOps
- A second language
