About us

Our restaurant operates in a large industrial park in Dandenong South and provides a unique dining experience to service many of the businesses and corporate clients in the area. We offer high quality food and dining for our customers for breakfast and lunch. After hours we host functions for weddings, engagements, birthday parties and other special occasions. 

About the role: 

You will be responsible for leading a team of seven and create a supportive and collaborative work environment. You will proactively manage your team, focusing on sales and profit generation, delivering an outstanding customer service experience and maintaining accountability for Workplace Health & Safety compliance. As the Restaurant Manager, you will focus on team engagement, culture and safety in a professional work environment. 

Tasks & responsibilities

• Train and supervise staff and ensure labour efficiency
• Ensure all food safety procedures are strictly adhered to according to sanitary regulations including COVID
• Work closely with management to meet revenue objectives and maintain the highest customer satisfaction. Implement appropriate strategies to resolve adverse trends, improve sales and customer satisfaction
• Maintain safe working conditions and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for customers and staff
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products and equipment
• Audit inventory levels to ensure product availability, and order products as necessary
• Maintain and optimise efficiency for labour and purchasing
• Solid understanding of food and beverages to enable input into menu development

Qualifications & experience

• 10+ years experience in the restaurant industry with considerable restaurant a la carte experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build customer relationships and influence customer loyalty
• Exceptional organisation and leadership skills to lead your team and develop your team members
• Dependable and reliable
• High levels of customer service experience
• RSA certification
• Current drivers licence and motor vehicle ownership
• Excellent presentation and professionalism
