About the role

Working as a Technical Sales Consultant at our Melbourne office and remotely, you will be highly driven, determined and willing to go the extra mile to build and maintain relationships with our B2B customers. You will have the ability to work closely with our management and technical team as well as autonomously to drive the growth of our customer network.


The role requires knowledge of the ever-changing telecommunications market and good product knowledge. Ability to provide consultancy services to various types of B2B customers, outlining the key benefits of the VoIPLine Telecom offerings and systems. 


This role comes with access to learning paths to further develop your knowledge in telecommunications technologies and hands-on-experience with our products and services. You will learn and grow with our highly skilled telecommunication engineers and customer support professionals every single day. 


As a Technical Sales Consultant your role will include: 

  • Follow up and convert new leads for direct to business. 
  • Maintain the internal CRM platform with the most recent information for leads, deals, companies and contacts.
  • Follow company sales policies and procedures. 
  • Meet and exceed KPI's set by management.
  • Conduct remote and on-site product demonstrations as required. 
  • Maintain sufficient product knowledge to fulfil the role.
  • Identify, qualify and source new business opportunities.
  • Liaise with the internal department as required.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Prepare sales reports for management when required. 
  • Attend internal and external training when required.
  • Identify product improvement or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors. 
  • Proactively perform account retention activities

Skills and experience 

To be successful in this role you will;

  • Have at least 2+ years of experience in technology/managed services provider/telecommunications sales. 
  • Successful track record generating leads. 
  • Proven willingness to learn and improve.
