Primary objective
At Barhead the role of the Not for Profit Technical Architect combines technical leadership with customer advocacy and solution design to deliver outstanding customer solutions. You will be the critical interface between the technical teams and provide risk mitigation as we seek to develop solutions for customers. It covers a range of pre-sales and post sales activities.
Sales Support
Lead pre-sales and scoping engagements to produce client proposals for Not for Profit solutions. The NFP Technical Architect is responsible for:
- Developing working relationship with Barhead Sales Directors, Clients and Microsoft stakeholders
- Defining strategic solutions and tactical implementation approaches to support client needs
- Supporting sales calls and performing detailed scoping engagements
- Leveraging and adapting Barhead assets for new opportunities
- Owning detailed project effort estimates and associated resource plans
- Producing and/or leading scoping outputs such as Statements of Work and High-level Solution Designs
- Mentoring and supporting the delivery team performing scoping activities, and reviewing their outputs

Delivery
Perform project delivery activities, including project initiation and definition phases:
- Subject Matter Expert for the Not For Profit sector
- Delivery of Not for Profit advisory service offering
- Translate high-level business requirements into well-architected solutions that best support the Not for Profit sector
- Support knowledge sharing and solution delivery against initial project vision and objectives
- Identify subsequent areas for solution enhancement and expansion
- Other project delivery roles relating to the Not for Profit practice from time to time as required

Perform project delivery activities and produce deliverables
Practice
Support the Not for Profit practice virtual team activities to grow the team’s capabilities and assets:
- Growing the team’s knowledge base, refinement and expansion of service offering service offerings and support materials for delivery
- Maintain their knowledge of new Microsoft capabilities and new release features.
- Develop relationships with Microsoft stakeholders

· Identifying and developing end-to-end solution designs
· Providing technical leadership for identified or emerging risks and issues with regard to migration, consolidation, standardisation, automation and virtualisation
· Taking into consideration the necessary technology, security, integration and performance requirements to support the business solution
· Build and sustain collaborative working relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders
These are the basic responsibilities today but, as the company and the position evolve, you will be provided with different functions to support Barhead, and its customers.
Key Skills/Competencies· 5+ years working experience as a Solution Architect in a Consultancy / System Integrator / Cloud Software Vendor – please note this is on CRM applications, not Telco or Infrastructure
· Knowledge/certification on architecture frameworks/methods
· Microsoft Business Applications certifications
· Demonstrated capability to juggle multiple projects within tight timeframes
· Excellent communications skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms
· Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of technology and business stakeholders
· Advanced experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Power Platform and/or comparable platforms such as Salesforce, Oracle, etc in a similar role (5+ years in similar role based on level)
· Experience with designing integration (real time, batch), data migration experience and types of technology used (middleware, direct, etc)
· Proven consulting experience and leading solution definition for enterprise clients
· Exposure to pre-sales activities, including detailed project planning and effort estimation activities
· Strong presentation and communication skills
· Workshop facilitation skills
· Stakeholder management at senior levels
