Driven by a young and ambitious team based in Surry Hills, we own and operate 7 media brands which all primarily engage audiences through a unique video format we call ‘video articles’, of which we produce 1,500 a month. We work with some of the largest brands in Australia from a wide variety of industries, including eBay, Unilever and Lion Dairy.

Role Overview:

Avid Collective is looking for a Senior Paid Media Specialist with significant experience in Paid Social and PPC/SEM to join our rapidly growing team. This person should be ambitious, highly focused and love problem solving on a daily basis. 


You will be responsible for using paid media strategies to grow the audiences of Avid’s seven owned media brands and to manage the execution of all of Avid’s sponsored campaigns for our clients. 


As well as being on the tools, you will be responsible for creating the strategies to ensure success for our clients and strong performance for the business, which will involve analysing data and developing insights across campaigns to continually iterate and optimise for the best results. 


You will have a minimum of 3 years experience in managing paid digital campaigns, and the passion and drive to build a thriving team around you. This role has a clear roadmap to a senior management role at Avid Collective in a short space of time. 



Tasks & Requirements:

  • Implement, optimise and analyse all digital media spend/campaigns including Paid Social, Native, SEM, Display Advertising and Email
  • Achieve high-quality results for client campaigns with a range of goals and objectives from content engagement to driving conversions 
  • Execute internal campaigns and strategies to grow the owned audiences of the various Avid media brands 
  • Liaise with internal content and commercial teams as well as with clients at all stages of execution through the campaign lifecycle 
  • Manage 2 direct reports who are there to help with the execution of digital strategies set by you 



Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • 3-6 years of experience working in digital marketing and paid media
  • Excellent understanding of social platforms Facebook, Instagram & YouTube 
  • Extensive experience with Facebook Ads Manager including hands-on experience in building high performing ad campaigns with proven ROAS
  • Experience in working on branded content and native campaigns 
  • A test and learn approach, with proven success using optimisation tactics
  • Good understanding of Australian digital publishing landscape
