Stepping Stone House is an award winning non profit punching above its weight. We provide a safe place for children and young people at risk or experiencing homelessness so they can begin to heal, build resilience, create connections and become the very best they can be. Our mission is to End Youth Homelessness in Australia – a big audacious goal that the team are committed to achieving together.

The Role

This newly created Digital Marketing Coordinator role will support the Fundraising, Marketing and Events portfolios with digital content to increase support and donations to Stepping Stone House. Working in a supportive, passionate and hardworking team, this role will coordinate the development of a digital strategy, daily management and analysis of social media platforms and online communications to reach participation and fundraising targets.


Really making this role your own, you will work across campaigns which include monthly newsletters, appeals, flagship event fundraiser Sleep Under the Stars, community fundraising initiatives, viral and virtual fundraising events, regular giving and acquisition campaigns. This diverse, interesting and varied role will see you work with autonomy, as part of a team and in a high impact and meaningful role. 

Your Day to Day

  • Ownership of Stepping Stone House social media presence to ensure consistency of brand (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Develop and implement a detailed social content calendar
  • SEO management
  • Coordination of a detailed eDM program through MailChimp
  • Daily and detailed data analysis reviewing KPI’s including conversion and engagement across web, social, eDM and CRM platforms (Salesforce)
  • Website maintenance (WordPress) 
  • Manage Sleep Under the Stars event website and social media ads/engagement
  • Identify and develop digital optimization strategies for campaigns 
  • CRM champion (Salesforce), integrating and maintaining data across multiple platforms 
  • Content writing for blogs, fundraising appeals and social where required
  • Basic design work for branded marketing and presentation materials

Selection Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional social media skills and ability to facilitate regular posts as and when directed
  • Proven experience working with analytics, SEO and with multiple and relevant platforms including WordPress, MailChimp, Google AdWords, Facebook Ads and Salesforce
  • Basic In-design skills for developing and amending content
  • Fundraising/non-profit experience is an advantage
