SAL Consulting Group is looking for a dynamic and creative trainer and assessor for our accredited and professional development courses.

SAL Consulting is a human services consultancy and clinical practice that is focused on providing customised support to people and agencies within the health and community services sector throughout Australia including supporting:

  • Children and young people
  • People with a disability
  • People with mental health support needs
  • People who have experienced trauma
  • Families

We connect with people and organisations from the education, child and family, disability, health and community sectors providing customised support in education and clinical programs. We have offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Darwin. We also deliver training programs in regional and remote areas.

Our goal is to create strong, collaborative relationships while strengthening the practice of staff working with some of our community’s most vulnerable members.

The position is a full-time permanent position based in Sydney; and will be delivering training across Australia.

The position will require the successful candidate to:

  • Develop and review training programs
  • Deliver both professional development and accredited course material
  • Be involved in marking and validation of accredited assessment tasks
  • Work as a member of a fast-moving and agile team
  • Facilitate training sessions in a blended approach – face-to-face, webinar and online

Position selection criteria:

  • Prior experience in VET in community services work or disability qualifications (at least 3 years), must hold the current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Demonstrated community services work and disability experience, ideally holding vocational qualifications to at least a Certificate IV level
  • High level of verbal and written communication and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Experience in delivering online and webinar training programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Current drivers licence
  • Ability to travel periodically outside of Sydney for training purposes
