Marketing Officer - Arts, Culture & Community

Permanent Part Time - 4 days per week

Band 6 - $84,497 – $92,100 per annum pro rata (+ 9.5% super)

An opportunity exists for a marketing specialist to work within the Arts, Culture & Community department at Hobsons Bay City Council. Working as part of a supportive team, the position is responsible for designing and delivering plans that will help maximise awareness of and drive engagement and participation in the Council’s arts, cultural and events programs, visitor experience, assets and activities, ensuring they are positioned and promoted widely to benefit the city.

The successful applicant will have expertise and demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of marketing plans, be able to prepare and promote work across a number of disciplines, have high level understanding of social media and digital assets, and ability to write and curate content. A creative approach and exceptional communication skills are required, as well as an affinity for arts, culture, events and related areas as well as a sound understanding of community interests and priorities.

Occasional events work may be required so a degree of flexibility is required.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience and initiative, who is looking to work in arts and events marketing in a community and metropolitan context.
