Senior Project Engineer/ Officer

  • Annual Salary Range: VPS4 - $87,640 - $99,438 + super
  • Tenure: Ongoing
  • Employment Type: Full Time (flexible work arrangements may be available)
  • Usual Location: Burwood East (flexibility may be available)

About the Team

To deliver transport Services across all modes that provides a single user interface to the transport network.

About the Opportunity

The Senior Project Engineer/ Officer role is to exercise independent professional judgement to plan, implement and monitor road and bridge works to achieve project scope, quality, cost, time, safety and environmental requirements in accordance with relevant policies and toolkits.

About You

As our ideal candidate you will:

  • Coordinate planning, work scheduling and resource management matters relating to development and delivery of project and prepare and administer complex contract/quotation specifications.
  • Anticipate barriers to success and takes preventative measures to achieve objectives.
  • Apply competence in pre-construction, construction and contract administration of projects, including an understanding of quality management principles.
  • Negotiate with and influence stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Apply competence in creating an environment where teamwork, accountability, customer focus and innovation are a focus of the team.
  • Exercise professional independent judgement to apply the requirements of the department's Risk Management Guidelines to prepare risk assessments and implement risk management plans for contracts and projects.
