MGDPS Pty Ltd (ABN 11 147 189 802) located at 1C/251 Forest Lake Boulevard Forest Lake QLD 4078 is seeking to employee a FULL-TIME Cook at our Forest Lake Indian restaurant. The restaurant was established in 2014.

The restaurant is a busy restaurant operating 7 days a week from 11am to 10pm (opening hours)

 A Cook is required to hold the following skills & qualifications:

  • Excellent technical knowledge with experience in all cooking techniques and styles.
  • Experience in leading staff during service with mentorship skills.
  • A high level of high attention to detail for quality production and presentation.
  • Ability to produce consistent quality and multi-task
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in fast paced environment.
  • A strong work ethic and have excellent communication skills.
  • A passion for cooking and enthusiasm to motivate a team.

The duties and responsibilities of a Cook will be as follows:

  • Demonstrate cooking techniques and assign cooking duties to kitchen staff.
  • Discuss and resolve the food complaints efficiently with the kitchen and wait staff.
  • Prepare and cook food according to the menu and meeting special dietary requirements, including sauces, desserts, etc.
  • Arrange for the input of invoices for inventory and stock control.
  • Monitor all stages of preparation and presentation of the dishes.
  • Ensure food prepared in the kitchen is of highest possible quality and standards.
  • Proper check and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and regular audits of temperature controlled facilities.
  • Regulating temperatures on ovens, grills and other cooking equipment in the kitchen.
  • Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients.
  • Ensure and enforce the health and safety standards are maintained in the kitchen.
