A fantastic opportunity has become available for a motivated, hands on, professional to lead and manage our satellite venue Vikings Sports Club.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager who is a strong leader with a great mentoring approach to use your management skills to deliver on key goals and work hand in hand with our Chief Operations Officer to further enhance the Club's sustainability and profitability and ensure the club continues to be an ongoing success. 

To be considered for the role

  • Overseeing management of licensed club premises, including cleaning, security, repairs and maintenance
  • Overseeing and directing catering, beverage and events management and operations
  • Experience in management/leadership of large teams and proven ability to build high-performing, constructive teams
  • Exceptional experience in communicating with both internal and external customers and the ability to have the ‘difficult’ conversations
  • A high degree of business acumen in budgeting, profit and loss management, negotiation, networking, business planning, project leadership, general governance and risk reporting
  • A high standard of presentation and exceptional communication skills, including report writing, presentations and other formal documentation
  • A high degree of discretion, integrity and confidentiality
  • Confidence to work independently and think on your feet to resolve issues and manage difficult situations
  • Display a willingness to be open to different opinions and see opportunities to learn and grow
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, grow and develop yourself
  • Fulfill duties as a recognised Fire Warden and Certified First Aid Officer for the club when required

Essential Criteria:

  • Have a sound knowledge of Gaming, Security and or Food and Beverage environments including knowledge of current legislation
  • Good analytical skills to make appropriate business recommendations
  • Previous venue management experience
  • Knowledge of club operations and governing legislation
  • Venue and/or tourism hospitality management experience
  • Leadership experience; ability to deliver training and speak in public
  • WHS principles and application of safe workplace practices
  • Working with Children’s check and Police check
  • Senior First Aid, RSA & RCG
  • Must be prepared to work shift work, weekends and public holidays if required
