About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and motivated Aboriginal Liaison Officer to join our team!

As Aboriginal Liaison Officer you will be required to liaise with Aboriginal patients, their families and health professionals for the delivery of culturally appropriate health care; provide emotional, social and cultural support to Aboriginal inpatients and their families whilst working alongside Social Work to provide discharge planning services to Aboriginal patients. We are seeking an Aboriginal Liaison Officer who will contribute to our team culture and will be committed to upholding and promoting the Ramsay Way core values.

About You

The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:
  • This role is only open to Aboriginal applicants (under Section 50(d) of the Equal Employment Opportunities Act 1984)
  • Aboriginal Health Worker qualifications or equivalent work experience or prior learning
  • Demonstrated ability in communicating/consulting with Aboriginal people and communities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, determining priorities, meeting deadlines, planning and organising work
  • Experience working within a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Well-developed advocacy
