Reporting to the Group Manager, Coal Handling Preparation Plants (CHPP), your key role is to assist with the coordination of coal beneficiation operations to optimize product yield, quality and maximize productivity to the appropriate site targets and Processing charter. You will provide technical support to the CHPP teams with measuring and reporting systems. You also act as a direct link between the CHPP operations and the mining quality control, geological and group logistics teams.

You have tertiary qualification/s in process / chemical engineering or metallurgy as well as relevant operational experience (ideally a minimum five years). This role requires interactions with key operations personnel and external agencies thus an ability to manage & build positive relationships and communicate effectively is required. Experience in coal quality control is essential with process scheduling skills an advantage. You have the ability to work in high pressure and competing priority environments. You will use your influencing skills to drive performance and accountability.
