Mercedes-Benz Australia Pacific has a rare and unique opening for two high performing Business Service Manager's who enjoy taking ownership of their domain. Based at our Head Office in Mulgrave, you will be responsible for the entire IT delivery process from requirement understanding to analysis of the actual situation, determination of the target status, derivation and development of the target solution to implementation and introduction of the target solution in the respective area. You will work in collaboration with the Business Consultant, Technical Analyst and Business Partner throughout the entire IT delivery process

Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Applications, some of your key responsibilities will include:
Domain Ownership and Strategy
- Manage the relationship with major business stakeholders relevant for the domain
- Consult with the business stakeholders about existing functionality and future solutions
- Accountable for the end-to-end lifecycle of all applications within a domain
Application ownership
- Responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the application
- Identifies and evaluates proposed changes to the application
- In the case of a regional or Global Application - regularly consults with the Application Owners in the Region in order to understand/influence Solution, Strategy, Cost, Incident Management
Service operations
- Operate within 1st and 2nd level support team providing analysis and resolution of application related issues including interfaces, major incidents and support of other related application
- Ensure that local IT requirements are implemented efficiently by combining central and local services
- D aily monitoring of application management processes at application level with timely identification and resolution of any errors
- Escalation management in emergency cases

To be the successful candidate, you will be degree qualified in IT and have a demonstrated background in supporting a broad range of applications/systems. More specifically, you will have experience or basic knowledge in Continuous Delivery and DevOps processes along with an understanding of agile delivery methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban). A solid understanding of infrastructure, network and clients is also important to the success of this role.
You will have a natural ability to build strong relationships, work collaboratively and be confident in effectively communicating, negotiating and influencing a wide range of stakeholders. You will have strong problem solving ability, be pro-active and take the initiative to develop solutions. You will have strong business acumen and the ability to integrate customer business needs into a technical framework.
Training in ITIL and project management (Prince2 preferred) would also be considered advantageous.
