The Opportunity

An opportunity as Marketing Intelligence and Insights Manager has become available within the Planning and Analytics team. This is a 12 month fixed term contract reporting into the Director, with one direct report and multiple key working relationships with senior management within the Strategy Division.

Key objectives of the role are to support the marketing strategy development, evaluate on marketing spend and ROI, provide advice on market growth and trajectory and deliver high level strategic insights leveraging rich data sets.


  • Lead market research and analytical initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to collaborate with senior managers on the development of marketing, and recruitment strategies.
  • Provide actionable strategic insight into the brand and marketing strategy and guide the development of product and experience innovations.
  • Using market intelligence, identify and prioritise markets and partnerships that provide the greatest growth potential and inform divisional plans and strategies.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to report on potential risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct and implement consumer research initiatives that ensure strategies are market oriented.
  • Provide measurement and evaluation support to enable both in market optimisation and post evaluation of marketing and recruitment activities.
  • Partner with external research agencies to implement research programs that evaluate brand positioning and marketing activity effectiveness.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Relevant degree qualification and minimum ten years’ experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationships skills with an ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and influence cross-divisionally
  • Demonstrated strategic advice and planning skills and experience implementing and providing advice on strategic marketing initiatives
  • Extensive experience with research methodologies and technical knowledge of their business application, including consumer segmentation, customer journey research, advertising testing, brand positioning evaluation and new product development and optimisation research methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of applied statistical techniques in the areas of data mining, predictive analytics and modelling to draw insights and drive innovative solutions for strategic planning
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and support a collaborative team to achieve results that exceed customer expectations
