The Role
Here at Mars Wrigley (MW), we are looking for an experienced Production Scheduler to join the MW Supply Team based in Asquith. Home to many well-known brands such as Snickers, Mars, M&M’s & Eclipse, we are proud to make some of Australia’s most loved confectionery brands.

Reporting to the site Value Stream Manager, you will be managing the inventory levels of the skittles and mints finished goods within our Asquith Warehouse and gain valuable insight into when it is necessary to develop / adjust the supply plan. This role will see you partner closely with the Supply and Demand Planning teams, so it is essential you encompass strong relationship, communication, and networking skills.

This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) and Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS) so would be best suited to someone who has a strong understanding in both these areas. It would also be beneficial to understand the Goods Manufacturing Process (GMP).

This business-critical role will see you working an 8-hour shift between the hours of 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages and communicates the inventory position for all Asquith Manufactured skittles and mints. This includes situations such as out of stock, low stock, aged/problem stock for both short- and long-term outlooks
  • Takes the lead in coordinating all the Supply team activities for Asquith Mints and skittles NPD projects working closely with the OBM role and the broader supply planning team
  • The role is a key contributor to the Supply S&OP+ review and must provide call outs for both long- and short-term supply constraints after each periodic demand update and as situations arise outside of this periodic cycle
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure all packaging for site is ordered and delivered on time
  • Attend all site HSE and Q&FS training
What will you bring to the role?
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and factory and supply operations
  • 3 years’ experience in supply planning or similar position within FMCG or similar industry (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understands the importance of working with a sense of urgency and remaining calm under high pressure situations
