What we’re doing

The Senior Audience Insights Analyst supports the Audience & Marketing division and will play a pivotal role in working closely with key marketing stakeholders in analysing data and providing insights to assist them to develop and implement digital marketing campaigns that drive audience growth and meet core KPIs. You will also play a key role in mentoring and supporting other analysts in the team and working collaboratively to create innovative solutions.

The role will initially be a 12-month contract with a strong opportunity for extension.

What the role is all about:

The primary focus of the Senior Audience Insights Analyst is to provide the marketing team with quality information and metrics to help drive the digital audience growth across REA brands.

The key accountabilities for the Senior Audience Insights Analyst are:


Be the expert for audience attribution analysis (eg. last touch channel) working closely with stakeholders to ensure relevant digital data is 100% accurate and available in the required analytics platform and data warehouses.

Ensure data capture is in relevant and useable format for upstream analytics management.

Scope requirements and liaise with technical teams to implement audience analytics as required and assisting with testing and QA to ensure data is tagged correctly for reporting.

Be thorough in the identification of errors and data cleansing to ensure greater accuracy.

Provide digital analytics support as required to marketing and product teams on campaign performance and optimisation opportunities.

Act as thought partner across the business for the use of data analytics within the marketing function.

Work closely with the data teams to identify gaps in marketing data capture strategy and collaboratively implement enhancements.

Be the champion for internal processes and systems and identify process improvement.


Lead storyteller communicating insights regularly with key stakeholders and relevant teams including presentations.

Provide regular reporting to support our weekly, monthly and quarterly analysis, including preparing decks on audience performance and KPI, Board materials, etc.

Analysing data to identify emerging trends and provide insights on the drivers of performance and audience trends, for both internal and external use.

Investigate data from a variety of sources to gain insights into customer needs and behaviours and distil these data into reports and dashboards that assist the business.

Dashboard creation for stakeholder, creating holistic dashboards by pulling data from different data sources.

What we’re looking for:

The role is suitable for someone who has already developed strong hands-on ‘technical’ skills in digital marketing and analytics.

2 years+ demonstrated experience as a senior support function in relation to digital analytics, troubleshooting complex issues and making recommendations.

Extensive experience in advanced digital analytics tools that cover website and mobile usage (eg, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)

Good grasp of digital marketing in SEM (Search Engine Marketing) / PPC (Pay Per Click), Social, and SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) strategies and a minimum one year experience with attribution models (eg, Last touch attribution).

Experience in database interrogation using SQL (intermediate) and BigQuery will be highly regarded.

Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookup, charts and formulae.

Experience using business intelligence systems such as Tableau.

A basic understanding of the principles of JS and HTML.

High analytical, logical, and critical thinker with an eye for detail.

You love data and analysing it.

You are keen to understand audience trends and the stories that data can tell.

You are highly inquisitive with experience and a passion for solving problems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex analysis in an easy-to-understand way.

The ability to translate data into layman’s terms to a variety of audiences at different levels.

Familiar with tag management solutions (eg GTM/Tealium).

Strong attention to detail is essential.

Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment

Help to build presentations (PowerPoint)

Eventually progressing to leading sales conversations for smaller direct clients
